Ummahani is a highly accomplished professional, currently serving as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Metropolitan Skills Ltd. and the founder and managing partner of the Metropolitan Law Firm. She began her legal career in 2003, earning her qualification to practice law in Nigeria. Over the years, she has garnered extensive experience in both the public and private sectors.

Her impressive career includes serving as the Senior Special Assistant (Technical) to the Minister of State at the Federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry in 2009. In 2020, she was appointed Senior Financial Flows Consultant for the LINKS Programme, generously funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).

Furthermore, Ummahani holds positions on the boards of several reputable organisations, including the Nigerian Exchange Limited, Radix Pension Managers, One17 Capital Limited, and Salam Takaful Insurance Limited. She also dedicates her time and expertise as a trustee of The Metropolitan Waqf, an Islamic endowment fund she established to champion and facilitate formal education in Northern Nigeria.
