Professor of Law, Shariah Consultant and internationally certified arbitrator He had his LL.B with First Class in 1993 and his LL.M. and PhD with distinctions, specialising in Islamic Law of Banking, Insurance and Capital Market, and has been published in reputable journals worldwide. In 2021, he delivered the 196th Inaugural Lecture of the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, the first by a Professor of Islamic Law of Banking and Finance in West Africa. 

Prof. Alaro is an advisor and consultant to the Central Bank of Nigeria, the National Insurance Commission, the Debt Management Office, the Securities & Exchange Commission, and the National Pension Commission. He has also been invited to speak at many high-impact forums in different parts of the world.In 2023, He won the “Most Outstanding Alumnus in Intellectual Impact” award from the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
