Dr Mustapha specialises in Islamic Finance, Financial Econometrics and Digital Innovation. He is with the fast-growing TAJBank, where he doubles in both Risk Management and Product Development capacities. These roles include being a faculty member at the bank’s training school. He is a published author in Islamic Finance, Financial Econometrics and Digital Innovation.

Dr Mustapha earned his PhD as a CIAWM scholar specialising in Innovative Financial Instruments for Infrastructure Development at the Global University for Islamic Finance – INCEIF (Malaysia), where he also obtained a Master of Science degree in Islamic Finance. His alumni network comprised INCEIF (Malaysia), Bayero University (Kano –Nigeria) and Al-Hikmah University (Ilorin – Nigeria).

Dr Mustapha is an AAOIFI fellow, a Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA), and a Fellow of the Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals in Nigeria (FIFP). He is also a member of Malaysia’s Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (CIIF). He convenes the Islamic Finance Chamber (IF Chamber), a global community of financial experts and enthusiasts interested in non-interest (Islamic) financial services.
